Job summary

TAPI is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to oversee utility operations and ETP systems at our API/formulations facilities in India. You will supervise preventive maintenance for brine and water chilling plants, cooling towers, and nitrogen generation units, ensuring smooth production support.

Responsibilities include safety-driven planning, CAPA coordination, and timely service calls closure, with adherence to cGMP and EHS norms.

Qualifications

• Experience in Pharma API/Formulations environments is required.
• Strong background in preventive and preventive maintenance activities.
• Familiarity with cGMP and safety practices in manufacturing plants.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control utility operations and ensure uninterrupted supply to production per requirements.
• Execute preventive maintenance of Utility & ETP equipment as per schedule.
• Maintain Water Brine chilling units, cooling towers, and nitrogen generation plants.
• Coordinate spare parts with Purchase & Store; plan daily maintenance work with safety permits.
• Identify hazards before starting work; ensure tasks comply with safety permits.
• Mentor junior team members in utility and ETP operation and maintenance.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control of utility operation and ensure theSupply of uninterrupted utilities to production as per the requirement.
• Ensure the execution of Preventive Maintenance of Utility & ETP Equipment's as per schedule.
• Perform the maintenance activity of Brine chilling units, Water chilling plants, Cooling tower and Nitrogen generation plant.
• Perform the preventive maintenance of Water chilling plant/Brine Chilling Plant/AC/Cold Room/Utility Tank cleaning as per PM Schedule.
• Coordination with Purchase & Store department for spare management.
• Planning & Supervision of day to day maintenance activities with issuing the relevant safety permits.
• To identify hazard before starting any work & to ensure the execution of routine maintenance and modification activities works with Safety permit.
• Guide and support to junior team members for operation and maintenance activity in Utility and ETP.
• Verification of performance parameters and daily checklists on daily basis as per cGMP.
• Prepare the cGMP validation document of Utility & ETP.
• Execution of Maintenance activity in Utility and ETP as per planning.
• Verification of measurement during the Bills Verification of maintenance & modification activities performed by contractor's in ETP and to maintain the expenses within allocated budget.
• Verification of log book of Boiler / Water Treatment Plant / CHBU / CHWU/ Air compressor / Cooling Towers / N2 plant on daily basis.
• Ensure the execution of CAPA against vibration analysis report of Utility and ETP equipment's.
• To ensure verification of Safety interlocks of utility on monthly basis & compliances of safety observation.
• To coordinate with Unit managers for Utility & ETP in absence of Manager- Mechanical /Utility.
• Ensure the closure of Service Calls in Maintenance Module (Preventive Maintenance & Breakdown Calls).
• Perform the all activities as per cGMP and EHS Norms.
• To maintain and ensure the EHS Polices Compliances at workplace.
• Report unsafe acts, conditions, near misses, and events.
• Participate in Safety Promotion activities, mock drills, Safety Trainings etc.
• Follow safety procedures, protocols and adhere to the PPE requirement.
• Ensure non-routine activities are executed through the work permit system
• Participate in the Incident Investigation Process & ensure Implementation of the CAPA.

Qualifications

Experience Required: 5-6 Years in Pharma API / Formulations

Qualification: B. Tech Mechanical / Diploma Mechanical/ Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
