Overview
Maintenance Technician with mechanical and electrical responsibilities in plant maintenance. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, preventive/predictive maintenance, and coordination with multiple departments to minimize downtime.
Responsibilities
Mechanical
- Check all instruments daily to keep the plant running with as few breakdowns as possible.
- possess knowledge of motors, gear boxes, reactor vessels, pipelines, various types of valves; piping selection, gate valves, gear pumps, couplings, centrifugal pumps, compressors, vacuum pumps, jockey pumps, and fire hydrant systems.
- Knowledge of boilers, thermic fluid heaters, cooling towers; basic welding, pressure testing, heat application, and general spare parts knowledge.
- Be flexible in shift duty, coordinate with all departments, and perform well under heavy workload.
- Knowledge of preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance; ability to act immediately to prevent production loss.
Electrical
- Knowledge of electrical equipment such as DG sets, electrical panels, VFD drives, MCBs, rotary switches, motor health conditions, stirrer/mixing machines, forklifts, and stackers.
- Knowledge of multimeters and related measurement tools; use of digital temperature controllers and weighing scales.
- Capable of identifying upcoming breakdowns.
- Basic knowledge of planning, estimating, and costing.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Diploma in ITI
Experience: 1-2 years
