Job Description
Objective: To ensure that the airline / MRO maintenance personnel have acquired the necessary knowledge and competence to safely maintain and operate Airbus aircraft reliably as of Entry into Service.
Main activities:
- Acquires the necessary knowledge and competence to deliver his/her duties as Mechanical Instructor
- Teaches the allotted ATA Chapters in the classroom environment, real aircraft environments and distance learning modes. A TA Chapters: 00-20, 21, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 32, 35, 36, 47, 49, 50s, & 70-80. and other Airbus Specialized Courses.
- Teaches and assess the airline / MRO maintenance personnel in all theoretical and practical aspects, including the real aircraft environment of maintaining and operating Airbus aircraft - in the Airbus Training Center or on Airline sites.
- Conduct duties as defined in the MTOE, ensuring procedures and processes as defined, within the scheduled timelines.
- Shall Comply with the regulatory requirements within his/her scope as well the roles and responsibilities
- Ensure that examinations are conducted in compliance with Airbus and Airworthiness Authority regulations.
- Ensure the security of the examination questions and maintain strict confidentiality and standards of an Instructor /Examiner / Invigilator
- Ensure that the information provided to the trainee is correct and corresponds with the approved course, using the approved material and means
- Keep abreast of the latest technical developments, operational and in service issues.
- Shall undergo updating training at least 70 Hrs every 24 months relevant to current technology, practical skills, human factors and the latest training techniques appropriate to the knowledge being trained or examined, to maintain the instructor qualification & competency
- Identify necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes that the student needs to perform his job;
- Analyze A/C maintenance tasks; usage of Technical data & Documentations
- Write examination questions, checks and validates as required.
- Validate the implementation of the functional specifications, including the training objectives, the level of information and the pedagogy;
- Elaborate the functional specifications of the various required training media from the instructor perspective;
- Act as a course coordinator when deployed to conduct courses outside AITC
- Willing to travel globally as and when required to conduct courses
- Should respect & protect the Intellectual proprietary rights of the organization and Confidentiality
- Must demonstrate an understanding of the CAR & EASA (CAR 66 / 147 & EASA Part 66 / 147) regulatory requirements. Shall remain conversant with above requirement, associated AMC’s and Guidance Material through update training.
- Additionally, should have a practical working knowledge of the Maintenance Training Organizations Exposition (MTOE) and associated training procedures.
- Reports to the Training Manager and carry out other duties as directed.
Qualifications
- Should hold an Aeronautical / Mechanical engineering degree Or. Holds an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s license endorsed with the A320 / A330 type rating Or Have evidence of previous employment as an A320/A330 Type Training Instructor.
- Experience: At least 10 years in an appropriate aeronautical environment (production or maintenance)
- Should be proficient and autonomous on Common MS Office applications.
- Ability to work independently & adapt to the team in a transnational environment
- Ability to communicate effectively (oral, writing & presentations)
Other requisites:
- Relevant are those candidates with the experience range of between (10-25) years of experience (which is not more than 48 years of age)
- Instructors / AME' with any EASA & / or DGCA license endorsement in Airbus fleet (mechanical stream) are suitable for this requirement
- (B1 / mechanical) licenses on A350 will be an added advantage
