Job summary

Quality HR India Pvt. Ltd. in Ahmedabad is seeking a Maintenance Fitter with 4–6 years of hands-on experience to support a chemical plant. The role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plant equipment and reading blueprints to ensure reliable operation.

The candidate should hold ITI in Fitter and perform preventative maintenance, component replacement, and spare parts sourcing to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• ITI - Fitter qualification is required.
• Minimum 4–6 years experience in maintenance fitting.
• Experience in chemical industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications.
• Assemble and secure tubes, fittings and related equipment according to specifications by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering and threading joints.
• Lay out full scale drawings of plant equipments following blueprints.
• Inspect, examine, and test installed systems.
• Inspect components, assemblies and sub-assemblies to minimize rejections.
• Inspect equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
• Remove and replace worn out components.
• Perform economical upkeep of all equipments in the plant.
• Source spares and do inventory control.
• Face audits and do the follow up for the job works.
• Examine blueprints and materials list to obtain parts specifications.
• Periodically compare dimensions of assembly to blueprint specifications, using square, rule and callipers.
