Job summary

Teva Pharmaceuticals in Goa, India is seeking a Project Engineer to conceptualize, design, estimate, and execute site projects, including qualification, validation, and capitalization of assets.

You will coordinate across teams, manage budgets, ensure safety and compliance, monitor KPIs, and deliver commissioning documentation to site finance. This role offers exposure to high-impact projects within a leading biopharmaceutical company.

Responsibilities

• 1.1 Ensure and mitigate quality risks and strengthen strong quality culture.
• 1.2 Develop and oversee control systems to prevent violations of guidelines and ensure data integrity compliance.
• 1.3 Lead site GEP documentation like qualification, validation, change management, calibrations.
• 1.4 Handle site project-related statutory compliances and review it.
• 2.1 Manage diverse site projects—greenfield, brownfield, energy saving, automation, etc.
• 2.2 Provide regular project updates to stakeholders on strategy and progress.
• 2.3 Create project schedules, allocate resources, manage vendor and project team.
• 2.4 Supervise execution at each stage of the project.
• 2.5 Manage project budgets and annual AOP, track deliverables.
• 2.6 Monitor progress and evaluate results; implement changes when needed.
• 2.7 Measure performance to identify improvements.
• 2.8 Submit commissioning reports for capitalization.
• 2.9 Ensure asset tagging after capitalization.
• 2.10 Manage budgets per CER.

This position is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, estimating, and executing site projects including project identification, feasibility study, estimation, preparation technical specifications, and execution of projects. This role is also responsible for commissioning and capitalization of assets.

How You’ll Spend Your Day

Compliance & Quality

• 1.1 Ensure and mitigate quality risks and strengthen strong quality culture.
• 1.2 Developing and overseeing control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies. Also to ensure Data integrity compliance with respect to laid down procedures and systems.
• 1.3 Lead Projects GEP documentation like qualification, validation, change management, calibrations, and other quality-related engineering documentation.
• 1.4 Handle site project-related statutory compliances and review it.

Project Management, Capex & Engineering

• 2.1 Responsible for various types of projects like green-brownfield, improvement, new initiatives, energy saving, modification, automation, new process developments etc of site.
• 2.2 Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
• 2.3 Create project schedule - timeline, define projects tasks and required resources. Allocate project resources of vendor and manage company project team.
• 2.4 To participates in and supervises the successful execution of each stage of the project.
• 2.5 Manage site project budget and its spending as per commitment, also prepare yearly project AOP.
• 2.6 Track deliverables, monitor and report on project progress. Evaluate and assess the result of the project.
• 2.7 Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs, Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
• 2.8 Timely Submission of Commissioning Report to Site Finance for partial and full capitalization of executed Project.
• 2.9 Ensure Asset Tagging post full capitalization of project.
• 2.10 Budget Management of project as per approved budget in CER.

Engineering Excellence

• 3.1 Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
• 3.2 Assists in development and monitoring implementation of Project Excellence policies, procedures, and processes.
• 3.3 Monitors performance of the Projects against KPIs and objectives on a regular basis.

Safety Management

• 4.1 To lead project safety and make ensures the whole execution activity would be performed as per site safety compliance and procedures
• 4.2 Make sure that notification, investigation, and case management of project site injuries and incidents are in collaboration with management.
• 4.3 Implementation of contractor safety and induction, also routine evaluation of safe practices and project safety audit.
• 4.4 Ensure that all employees work in accordance with the internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices.
• 4.5 Any other job activity as assigned by the reporting supervisor/ Management from time to time.
