Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking a Stores/Engineering Store Supervisor to manage spare parts, chemicals and consumables inventory at our plant in Assam. The role requires coordinating across departments, ensuring GRN/KC compliance and accurate documentation, while driving cost-effective procurement in SAP/Ariba environments.

• Functional Experience: Approx 4–8 years in engineering/store.

• Experience/Competencies: Required for coordinator roles and stores management.
• B.Tech Mechanical/Electrical with 2–3 years in engineering store.
• Desirable: experience in engineering store/warehouse.
• Minimum 2–3 years in similar supervisory role.
• Exposure to manufacturing systems and shop floor culture.
• Coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper stacking and accounting of received spare parts, chemicals and consumables.
• Ensure proper documentation for incoming spare parts and reporting.
• Coordinate with across departments for GRN and KC compliance.
• Report inventory status to stakeholders.
• Ensure availability of HSD/LPG.
• Vendor code creation and vendor development for KGF.
• Issue C&C as per FEFO.
• Coordinate with finance on engineering scrap disposal.
• Prepare PO/PR in SAP & Ariba.
• Document online rejection material and return to supplier.
• Follow-up for secondary packaging materials with suppliers.
• Support in EHS role and GEHSMS compliance.
• Train operatives on basic procedures.
• Ensure on-time reports and system documentation.
• Fulfill KC for stores on time.
• Drive biomass briquette stock management for green initiatives.
• Clear exceptions to release vendor payments.
• Coordinate with finance and IBM for timely payments.
• Monitor R&M and reclass weekly.
• Support plant for AIB & statutory audits.

Overview

• Ensuring proper inventory and availability of spare parts as per the PepsiCo standards.


• Coordinating with across the departments for inventory and availability of chemicals and consumables.


• Ensuring timely stock taking, reconciliation, audit, of spare parts and C&C stock management to ensure zero inventory mismatch.


• Large span for managing Spare parts approx. 5-10 Cr inventory.


• Ensure availability of HSD/LPG.


• Drive Value engineering with coordination of internal Stake holders and myBUY team.


• Ensure storage related statutory compliances.


• Drive Store KC.

Responsibilities

• Ensure exception clearing on time to release the payment for vendors.


• Coordinate with the finance team & IBM team on timely payment releasing for vendors.


• Ensure R&M monitoring on daily basis & correction, reclass on weekly basis.


• Provide the support to entire plant team for AIB & statutory audits.

Ensuring 100% uptime for Process Lines

Ensuring that the engineering stores carries the optimum amount of inventory at all times for smooth running of lines by issuing timely indents

Spare Parts Coordination

• Close co-ordination with engg team & other stakeholders to update Min-Max and re-order levels of spares to ensure timely availability of spares keeping cost of inventory minimum.


• Providing information to the stakeholders on time about the consumption pattern of particular spare parts.

Collaboration with Engineering Team

• Analyzing collectively the problem taken up by the group.


• Procurement solutions/suggestions for the specific parts & projects/problems taken up with the suppliers if any quality issue faced online.


• Getting the solutions approved by the Plant Head/Engineering Manager.

Contributing towards Effectiveness of Own Department

• Participating actively in team meetings to analyze shortfalls, problems, concern areas with others and developing action plans.


• Implementing action plans.


• Understanding, supporting, and resolving problems of team members.

Implementation of Change Initiatives and Supporting Continuous Improvement in Department

• Supporting the manager in benchmarking latest trends in consumptions and procurement.


• Giving feedback to manager on change initiatives and improvement plans that have been planned for the department and organization.


• Giving regular feedback to manager on implementation.


• Highlighting areas of improvement in the department and process to manager.

Support Engineering Manager

• Support Engineering manager in fulfillment of KC which related to plant engineering manager.


• Support Engineering Manager in building TPM culture & PEMM in Engineering Department.

Qualifications

• Education: B. E/Diploma (Electrical/Instrumentation/Electronics/Mechanical)


• Functional Experience: Approx 4-8 years of experience.


• Language: English, Assamese & Hindi.


• Experience/Competencies Required.


• B. Tech. Mechanical / Electrical 2-3 years experience of egg. Store.


• Desirable: handling Engineering store/ warehouse experience.


• Minimum experience of 2-3 years of working in a similar industry at the supervisory level.


• Exposure to manufacturing systems and shop floor culture.
