Job summary

BMW Group Plant Debrecen seeks an Electrical Maintenance Technician to keep robotic production lines running reliably. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and optimize PLCs, robots, and conveyors to prevent unplanned downtime.

Join a highly automated facility with a team of 8–10, working in rotating shifts and collaborating with production leaders and process technicians to maintain smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Secondary-level qualification in electrical engineering, electronics, automation, or mechatronics.
• Experience as production maintenance or service technician is an advantage, but not required.
• Willingness to work in multiple or rotating shifts.
• Native Hungarian speaker; no foreign language skills required.
• Strong problem solving and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

As anElectrical Maintenance Technician at BMW Group Plant Debrecen, you will play a key role in ensuring that the robotic production lines operate optimally. Through preventive maintenance, you’ll eliminate potential issues before they arise.

What awaits you?

• Work environment – a highly automated production line equipped with robots, where you’ll play a major role in setup and operation.
• Team –As part of a team of 8-10 members, you’ll participate in executing maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshooting – you’ll handle breakdowns, ensuring rapid restart of production equipment after unexpected downtime, and preventing future stoppages.
• Cooperation – you’ll collaborate with production team leaders and process technicians on maintenance, troubleshooting, and resolving production process issues.
• Maintenance –you’ll perform maintenance tasks, optimize production equipment, PLC programs, robots, and conveyor systems to prevent technical failures that could halt production.

What should you bring along?

• Education – A secondary-level qualification in electrical engineering, electronics, automation, or mechatronics.
• Work experience – experience as a production maintenance or service technician is an advantage, but not a requirement.
• Work schedule – willingness to work in multiple or rotating shifts.
• Language skills – native Hungarian speaker; no foreign language skills required.
• Accuracy - attentive to detail, able to analyze problems systematically.
• Sense of responsibility – able to work responsibly both independently and in a team.
• Communication and teamwork – strong communication skills. Able to work in a team and open to continuous self-improvement.
• Problem solving and situation analysis – able to remain calm even when working at a fast pace, and calmly analyze and solve any problematic situation.
