DigitalXNode is seeking a Mainframes SQM Infrastructure Engineer to ensure quality for infrastructure changes and projects, including PTFs, upgrades, integrations, and emergency fixes. You will coordinate testing activities, analyze schedules, and resolve infrastructure issues.

You will collaborate with infrastructure, application, and operations teams to deliver projects smoothly, while working with business stakeholders to understand requirements and meet them.

Qualificações

• Strong understanding of z/OS operating system, including TSO/ISPF/JCL and JES2/JES3.
• Experience with DB2/IMS and basic networking concepts.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and tools such as ServiceNow.
• Analytical problem-solving and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Overview:

As a Mainframes SQM Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of infrastructure-related changes and projects, such as PTFs, upgrades, integrations, and emergency fixes. You will be responsible for coordinating infrastructure testing activities, analyzing schedules, and resolving infrastructure-related issues.

• Infrastructure Testing:

• Incident Management:
  • Respond to and resolve infrastructure-related incidents promptly and effectively.
  • To prevent future incidents, conduct a root cause analysis.
• Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to automate testing processes and improve efficiency.
  • Implement best practices for infrastructure testing and quality assurance.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with infrastructure, application, and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery of projects and changes.
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and meet them.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong understanding of z/OS operating system, TSO, ISPF, JCL, JES2/JES3, and other mainframe technologies.
• Experience with mainframe database systems (DB2, IMS) and networking concepts.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Working independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet)
