Job summary

164 UPS Logistics Private Limited is seeking an experienced mainframe tester to join its QA team in India. You will develop and execute test plans for COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS, and perform functional, regression, and integration testing on CICS transactions.

You will identify defects, collaborate with developers and analysts, test batch jobs with JCL, and perform backend SQL testing alongside API/Web Services validation using tools like PostMan and SOAP UI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• Permanent employment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans for mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing on CICS transactions.
• Identify, document, and track defects using standard testing tools.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Test and debug batch jobs (JCL).
• Perform backend testing by executing SQL queries.

• Hands-on experience in Selenium, TestNG and Cucumber frameworks
• Test Cases Design and Test Data management

Job Summary

This position provides input, support, and performs full systems life cycle management activities (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.). He/She participates in component and data architecture design, technology planning, and testing for Applications Development (AD) initiatives to meet business requirements. This position provides input to applications development project plans and integrations. He/She collaborates with teams and supports emerging technologies to ensure effective communication and achievement of objectives. This position provides knowledge and support for applications development, integration, and maintenance. He/She provides input to department and project teams on decisions supporting projects.

Key Responsibilities
