When complex issues arise, you’ll investigate what is happening, identify the underlying cause and work with application and infrastructure teams to restore service and prevent repeat incidents. This is also an opportunity to look beyond day‑to‑day support. You’ll use your knowledge of DB2 and the wider z/OS environment to identify opportunities to improve reliability, capacity and operational efficiency. You’ll work with application teams on database design and SQL performance, automate repeatable administration activities and help ensure database environments are ready for both current workloads and future change.
