Job summary

TecQubes Technologies seeks a Mainframe Automation System Administrator to manage z/OS automation across Pan India and key regional sites. The role focuses on automation design, policy implementation, and ensuring high availability of mainframe environments.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years of automation experience with z/OS, NetView, JES2, and GDPS, and will engage with global teams to drive operational excellence and incident resolution.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in system automation for z/OS.
• Administer, maintain, and support Mainframe system automation for z/OS.
• Design, implement, and maintain automation policies and recovery procedures.
• Monitor automation infrastructure for availability and stability.
• Troubleshoot automation-related incidents and production issues.
• Root cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Support automated startup, shutdown, failover, and recovery.
• Collaborate with Mainframe Systems Programming, Operations, Infrastructure, and Application Support teams.
• Participate in system upgrades, migrations, testing, and implementation activities.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support guides.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and process optimization.
• Support incident, problem, change, and service management processes.
• Participate in on-call support activities as required.
• Ensure compliance with operational standards, security requirements, and SLAs.
• Knowledge of NetView and related Mainframe automation technologies.
• Understanding of z/OS operating systems and Mainframe infrastructure components.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in complex enterprise environments.
• Experience supporting production and operational environments.
• Knowledge of incident, problem, change, and service management processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional proficiency in English, with the ability to effectively communicate with global stakeholders.

• Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
