Job Role : Mainframe Automation System Administrator
Location : Pan India and (Also Preferred - Karnataka (Bangalore), Andhra(Hyderabad) , Tamil Nadu (Chennai) is Plus.
Mandatory : Mainframe Automation System Administrator with ZOS Environment and Technologies .
Key Responsibilities:
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 6+ Years of Experience in System Automation for z/OS.
- Administer, maintain, and support Mainframe System Automation for z/OS environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain automation policies and system recovery procedures.
- Monitor and manage automation infrastructure to ensure system availability and operational stability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related incidents and production issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support automated startup, shutdown, failover, and recovery processes.
- Collaborate with Mainframe Systems Programming, Operations, Infrastructure, and Application Support teams.
- Participate in system upgrades, migrations, testing, and implementation activities.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support guides.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and process optimization.
- Support incident, problem, change, and service management processes.
- Participate in on-call support activities as required.
- Ensure compliance with operational standards, security requirements, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Knowledge of NetView and related Mainframe automation technologies.
- Understanding of z/OS operating systems and Mainframe infrastructure components.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in complex enterprise environments.
- Experience supporting production and operational environments.
- Knowledge of incident, problem, change, and service management processes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional proficiency in English, with the ability to effectively communicate with global stakeholders in both written and verbal interactions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within global teams.
- Strong focus on operational excellence and customer service.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Familiarity with Sysplex, JES2, RACF, GDPS, and related z/OS technologies.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and service management frameworks.
- Experience with automation policy development and implementation.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise Mainframe environments.
- Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing activities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
