In addition they are knowledgeable on current manufacturing technologies, evaluate those technologies for the business. Demonstrate appropriate leadership behaviors to guide the team.**Your Role**: Machine Shop - Operations Manager**Reporting To** : COE Turbine Shop* Drive and coordinate the execution with (SQDC)Zero deviation in Safety and Quality.* Ensure alignment of different stakeholders to achieve OTD & shop Utilization.* Demonstrate appropriate leadership behavior to guide the team and standard work.* Drive nuclear safety culture awareness in shop floor.* Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline, ensure maximum efficiency and productivity as well as minimization of delays.* Leads and coaches team members in a positive manner to maximize their potential and their contributions to key performance goals for the company.* Assists in production scheduling to ensure optimal utilization of equipment and people for best possible results* Create awareness among team to raise stop work/Quality Concern on small deviations* Closely work with Process engineer for any improvement on current manufacturing process/new upcoming projects* Identify training need of the team based on the skill assessment and new project requirement.* Control, Organize, monitor production operations as per plan, implement corrective action as necessary. Make recovery plan for delays, implement, and ensure targets agreed are achieved* Ensure correct allocation of resources to make the Lean concepts deployment a success, make problems visible, and allow problem solving to take place.* Lead and guide the team to develop & execute objectives for self & others with alignment to short-term & long-term business goals of the organization.* Mobilize onsite support and new development whenever needed* Responsible for EHS & 5S in the respective area of the shop* Responsible for execution cost (estimate Vs actual)* Active participation in FMEA meetings and ensure all relevant risks are identified and mitigated before execution of process* Identify training need of the team based on the skill assessment and new project requirement.**Basic Qualifications(requirements):*** Degree in Mechanical engineering* MBA Operations (Preferable)* Min 15 year experience in Machine shop and Assembly Shop* Well convergent with SAP/Microsoft Office tools**Desired Qualifications:*** Demonstrated integrity – accept and adhere to high ethical, moral, and personal values in decisions, communications, and actions when dealing with others* Lean Mindset and understanding of lean tool.
