Job summary

Rockwell Automation in India is seeking a Press Brake Operator to operate bending and embossing machines on a shopfloor in Kancheepuram. You will work with production and engineering teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high quality output.

This onsite role reports to the Production Supervisor, requires a Diploma/ITI, 2–5 years of relevant experience, knowledge of tooling and maintenance, and a willingness to work in shifts.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI or equivalent technical qualification.
• 2–5 years of experience in press brake / bending machine operations.
• Knowledge of machine operations, tooling, dies, and maintenance practices.
• Understanding of SOPs, safety requirements, and quality inspection processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate bending and embossing machines, ensuring safe and efficient production operations.
• Perform machine lubrication, daily maintenance checks, and ensure machine upkeep.
• Conduct First Piece, in‑process, and Last Piece inspections to meet quality standards.
• Ensure loading and setup of bending tools and die, maintaining tooling accountability.
• Maintain 5S standards and workplace organisation, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and PPE usage.
• Manage production output, meeting targets for quality, productivity, and delivery.
• Maintain documentation including daily checklists, rejection reports, and scrap accountability.
• Support continuous improvement (Kaizen), teamwork, and training of co‑associates.

Job Description

As a Press Brake Operator, you will operate bending and embossing machines to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality production. You will work with production and engineering teams, handling machine operations, inspections, and continuous improvement programmes in a shopfloor environment.

This is an onsite role based in Kancheepuram, reporting to the Production Supervisor.

The Essentials – You Will Have

• Diploma / ITI or equivalent technical qualification
• 2–5 years of experience in press brake / bending machine operations
• Knowledge of machine operations, tooling, dies, and maintenance practices
• Understanding of SOPs, safety requirements, and quality inspection processes
• Willingness to work in shifts and shopfloor environment

The Preferred – You Might Also Have

• Exposure in automotive, electrical, electronics, or general manufacturing industries
• Exposure to embossing operations and advanced bending techniques
• Familiarity with 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement practices
• Well versed in production documentation and reporting systems
• To Train and support junior operators
