Job summary

DMart is hiring a Machine Operator- Grocery Packing/Officer to operate and maintain packing lines for rice, wheat, pulses, sugar, flour, and more. You will ensure accurate packing, quality compliance, and safety in a fast-paced FMCG setting.

Responsibilities include setting up machines for SKUs, monitoring weights and labeling, performing routine maintenance, and recording production data. You will lead 5–6 team members, guide training, and coordinate with QA and maintenance teams across

Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrician/Fitter/Welder/Mechanist or Electrical required.
• Experience operating packing machines in FMCG or related industries preferred.
• Willingness to work in shifts and manage a small team.

• Report breakdowns to the maintenance team immediately.

• Support quality team during in-process checks and audits.
• Manage a team of 5-6 members; allocate work and train them.

Purpose of the Role:

To operate and maintain grocery packing machines (rice, wheat, pulses, sugar, flour , etc.) ensuring smooth production, accurate packing, and compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate packing machines (weighing, filling, sealing, labeling, coding).
• Set up machines for different products/SKUs as per production plan and achieve the production target
• Monitor packing line for correct weights, sealing quality, and labeling accuracy.
• Perform routine machine checks and basic and preventive maintenance.
• Report breakdowns or abnormalities to the maintenance team immediately.
• Ensure hygiene & safety standards during operations.
• Record daily production, downtime, and wastage details.
• Support quality team during in-process checks and audits
• Manage a team of 5-6 team members and allocatethe work as per their skill and ability, plan their continuous training and upgrade.

Candidate Profile:

Experience: 2+ Years

Gender: Male
Industry: Preferably from FMCG, Bakery, Dairy, Grocery or any Food Industry
Qualification: ITI or Diploma(Mechanical, Electrician, Fitter, Welder, Mechanist and Electrical)
