Shine BrightX LLC in Bengaluru is offering a full-time internship to work on LLM-backed features, including retrieval pipelines, agents, and evaluation harnesses. You will ship a meaningful production slice by the end of the internship while collaborating with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.

You will write clean Python code in production stacks, contribute to tests and dashboards, and learn to debug across data, infra, model, and prompt logic with mentorship.

Competenze

• AI/ML project depth through coursework, research, open-source, hackathons, or prior internships with non-trivial LLM projects.
• End-to-end ownership including design, building, and maintenance.
• Strong Python engineering skills; write clean, testable production code.
• Working knowledge of modern LLMs including prompting, fine-tuning, retrieval, agents, or evaluation.
• Systems mindset focusing on interfaces, data contracts, failure modes, and rollout plans.
• Track record of open collaboration, asking insightful questions, giving and receiving feedback, ensuring quality.
• Availability to work full-time onsite in Bengaluru for the internship with potential PPO.

Your Role

Here's what you will be doing:

• Build and prototype LLM-backed features such as retrieval pipelines, agents, evaluation harnesses, or hybrid patterns alongside senior engineers, and ship a meaningful slice into production by the end of the internship.


• Contribute to evaluation rubrics, test plans, and quality dashboards to measure AI feature quality, and run evaluations on shipped systems.


• Write clean, testable Python code in the production stack, add tests to catch regressions, and help monitor and harden existing production systems.


• Debug failures across data, infrastructure, model, and prompt logic with mentorship, and document learnings for the team.


• Collaborate with engineers, product, and AI teams by joining design reviews, shipping pull requests, and participating in feature design decisions.


• Continuously improve your craft by asking sharp questions in code reviews, understanding systems before changes, and pushing for quality proactively.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Demonstrated AI/ML project depth through coursework, research, open-source, hackathons, or prior internships involving non-trivial LLM projects with rigorous evaluation.


• At least one substantial project owned end-to-end, including design, building, and maintenance.


• Strong engineering skills in Python, capable of writing clean, testable code and debugging in production-style environments.


• Working knowledge of modern LLMs including prompting, fine-tuning, retrieval, agents, or evaluation beyond basic tutorials.


• A systems mindset focusing on interfaces, data contracts, failure modes, and rollout plans rather than just model tweaks.


• A track record of open collaboration, asking insightful questions, giving and receiving feedback, and proactively ensuring quality.


• Availability to work full-time onsite in Bengaluru for the internship duration with intent to convert to a full-time role.
