Job summary

vConstruct Private Limited is expanding its Data Science & Analytics team to advance Generative AI capabilities. The role focuses on designing, building and shipping production-ready GenAI solutions using LLMs, multimodal models and classical ML techniques.

You will prototype GenAI use cases, deploy models as Azure services, collaborate with AI engineers and data scientists, and continuously learn new trends while documenting solutions for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Education as stated in the must-have qualifications.
• ~5 years delivering production software or ML solutions, with at least 2 years hands-on with LLMs or Gen AI models.
• Strong Python development experience (FastAPI) and familiarity with TypeScript or C# a plus.
• Experience with OpenAI/Azure OpenAI SDKs, embeddings and vector databases (e.g. Pinecone, FAISS).
• Solid ML fundamentals across supervised/unsupervised learning, evaluation metrics and experiment tracking (MLflow, Weights & Biases).
• Cloud & DevOps experience deploying on Azure (App Service, Functions, ML, Container Apps) and setting up CI/CD pipelines.
• Data wrangling with SQL and Pandas for tabular, text, image and BIM/IFC data.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

You'll join a collaborative group of AI Engineers, Data Scientists and Analysts transforming every stage of the construction lifecycle—from pre-construction planning to post-handover operations- through automation and data-driven insights.

What You'll Do

Must-Have Qualifications

• Education - B.E./B.Tech or M.S. in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML or related field.

• Programming - Strong Python (FastAPI / LangChain / LangGraph); familiarity with TypeScript or C# a plus.
• Gen AI Tooling - Experience with OpenAI/Azure OpenAI SDKs, embeddings, vector databases (e.g., Azure Cognitive Search, Pinecone, FAISS).
• ML Fundamentals - Solid grasp of supervised/unsupervised learning, evaluation metrics, experiment tracking (MLflow, Weights & Biases).
• Cloud & DevOps - Comfortable deploying on Azure (App Service, Functions, ML, Container Apps), writing Dockerfiles, setting up pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions).
• Data Handling - Proficient with SQL and Pandas; able to wrangle tabular, text, image and BIM/IFC data.
• Soft Skills - Clear communicator who can explain complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders; thrives in fast-paced, iterative environments.

Nice-to-Have

• Knowledge of construction, engineering, manufacturing or related domain
• Front-end skills (React, Streamlit) for building user-facing Gen AI tools.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Power BI or Tableau for analytics and visualization.
