Microsoft 365 Modern Workplace Developer
About the Role
We are seeking a Microsoft 365 Modern Workplace Developer with 3–5 years of experience in building and customizing modern workplace solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in React.js, SPFx, SharePoint Development & Migration, Teams Applications, copilot studio agent developer, Graph API and Office Add‑ins, with exposure to Power Automate as a plus. The role involves designing, developing, and deploying solutions that enhance collaboration, productivity, and digital workplace experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and customize SharePoint Framework (SPFx) web parts, extensions, and solutions using React.js.
- Implement and support SharePoint Online development and migration projects (document libraries, lists, workflows, metadata, and permissions).
- Develop and extend Microsoft Teams applications, copilot studio agent or bots, and tabs to improve collaboration and user engagement.
- Build and integrate Office Add-Ins for Word, Excel, and Outlook to extend productivity tools.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in the migration of content and applications from legacy SharePoint or file systems to M365 platforms.
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and compliant with organizational and Microsoft best practices.
- Support and maintain existing M365 solutions, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.
- Automate workflows and processes using Power Automate and integrate with other M365 services. (Good to have)
- Stay updated with new M365 capabilities, features, and updates to recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including stakeholders, business users, and support teams.
- Contribute to demos, documentation, and mentoring junior developers.
Required Skills and Experience
- 3–5 years of professional experience in M365 development.
- Strong hands‑on experience in React.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
- Proven experience with SPFx development (web parts, extensions, custom solutions).
- Experience in SharePoint Online customization, configuration, and migration.
- Experience in Graph API, PnP JS/CSOM/REST API for M365 development.
- Experience in copilot studio agent or bot development and deployment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams app development (tabs, messaging extensions, bots).
- Experience with Office Add-Ins development (Office.js).
- Understanding of M365 security, governance, and compliance features.
- Good problem‑solving skills and ability to work in agile development environments.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving capabilities.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power Platform integrations.
- Experience with Azure AD, authentication, and permissions models.
- Exposure to PowerShell scripting for automative tasks in M365.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for M365 deployments.
- Strong communication skills with ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (BE/MTech/MCA).
- Preferred Certifications: MS‑700 (Managing Microsoft Teams), AZ‑104 (Microsoft Azure Administrator), MS‑102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator).
