The Microsoft 365 (M365) Lead is responsible for driving the strategy, architecture, implementation, governance, security, and continuous improvement of the organization's Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This role serves as the technical owner for core collaboration and productivity services including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Power Platform, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).

The M365 Lead will work closely with business stakeholders, infrastructure teams, information security, and support functions to deliver secure, scalable, and user-centric digital workplace solutions while ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and high service availability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & Architecture

• Define and execute the Microsoft 365 roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Lead architecture design, governance, and best practices across M365 services.
• Evaluate new Microsoft technologies, capabilities, and integrations.
• Establish governance frameworks including lifecycle management, naming conventions, provisioning standards, and user adoption strategies.
• Ensure scalability, resilience, and future readiness of the M365 environment.

2. Implementation & Administration

• Lead deployment, configuration, and administration of:
• Microsoft Teams (Collaboration, Governance, Voice)
• SharePoint Online (Sites, Intranet, Content Management)
• Exchange Online (Mail Flow, Security, Migrations)
• OneDrive for Business
• Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
• Manage tenant-wide M365 configurations and policies.
• Support hybrid and cloud migration initiatives.
• Optimize platform performance, availability, and user experience.
• Handle complex technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.

3. Security, Compliance & Governance

• Implement and manage Microsoft 365 security and compliance controls:
• Conditional Access
• Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
• Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
• Microsoft Defender
• Information Protection
• Sensitivity & Retention Labels
• eDiscovery & Audit
• Identity & Access Management
• Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct security assessments, audits, and risk mitigation activities.

4. Adoption, Training & Support

• Drive Microsoft 365 user adoption and change management initiatives.
• Create training materials, user guides, and knowledge repositories.
• Promote collaboration and productivity best practices.
• Support Level 2/Level 3 operational escalations.
• Ensure SLA adherence and continuous service improvement.

5. Project & Stakeholder Management

• Lead digital workplace transformation projects and M365 initiatives.
• Collaborate with business units, program managers, vendors, and technical teams.
• Manage project timelines, risks, dependencies, and technical deliverables.
• Provide regular status reports and executive-level updates.
• Support budget planning, licensing optimization, and vendor coordination
