Job Description

The applicant should have experience in the following areas:

  1. Managing the flow of goods and materials within a supply chain, ensuring efficient and timely delivery from origin to destination. This includes coordination with transportation, managing inventory, and communication with stakeholders to optimize logistics operations and customer satisfaction.
  2. Knowledge of customs-related activities, including ICE Gate usage, import and export filing data, and duty payment processes.
  3. Using the DGFT portal for SIMS certificate generation and monitoring latest customs order updates.
  4. Generating RFQs, negotiating, and concluding agreements with transportation agencies for shipments.
  5. Tracking shipments, expediting carriers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
  6. Monitoring stock levels, managing warehouse operations, and optimizing storage and distribution.
  7. Responding to stakeholder queries, addressing shipping issues, and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and clients.
  8. Analyzing logistics procedures, organizing road surveys for critical shipments if required, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  9. Scrutinizing shipping documents, invoices, and BLs in line with POs.
  10. Communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, with various stakeholders.
  11. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP systems.
  12. Negotiating with suppliers, carriers, and vendors to optimize costs and service levels.
  13. Analyzing and coordinating ongoing logistical functions and initiating improvements.
  14. Managing the entire lifecycle of product delivery from dispatch to receipt.
  15. Interacting with customs officers for import and export shipments.
