Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking an Expert-level candidate for an onsite role in Bengaluru to manage Linux and SAP HANA infrastructure, including HA/DR and upgrades. You will work with Pacemaker and Service Guard, handle critical incidents, and coordinate with customers and cross-functional teams.

Candidates should have strong Linux skills, SAP HANA infra experience, and ITIL familiarity, with exposure to migrations, performance tuning, and 24x7 support.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux and SAP HANA Infra knowledge.
• Experience with high availability and disaster recovery.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot critical events and performance issues.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and cross-functional collaboration.
• RHEL certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Management Level Definition

Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Responsibilities

• Strong implementation, migration and support in Linux (RHEL & SUSE)
• Strong HANA Infra experience.
• BOBJ,SAP Convergent Charging, SAP Convergent Mediation ,Cloud Connector…)
• Day to Day Linux and SAP Infra tasks.
• Excellent knowledge of HIGH AVAILABILITY AND DISASTER RECOVERY SCENERIOS
• Service Guard, Pacemaker Hands On experience is a must with ability to on-board new systems and fine tune existing systems
• Able to Handle Customer Issues Independently and provide solutions to Critical customer issues
• Able to join customer meetings and take part in various critical Activities such as Upgrades , Migrations , Performance tuning etc.
• Should be able to Handle Performance Tuning Activities on both Application and Database levels along with Optimizing System with fine tuning adjustments to deliver good system availability and performance
• Perform Various OS upgrades, HANA DB upgrades etc .
• Working knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery environments, as well as OS level clustering.
• Upgrades and Add-on Installations
• Linux & HANA HA and DR Setup.
• Knowledge on Metro Cluster.
• Experienced with typical support activities including preventive maintenance
• Working knowledge of key ITIL processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot/analyze and resolve technical problems, Knowledge/Experience in performance tuning, troubleshooting
• Preferably Linux certified.
• Automate administrative and operational systems support functions. Provide training and direction to other operational support teams.
• Participate in providing 24x7 support on rotational basis to ensure operations of these critical systems for different customers.
• Preparing Daily Monitoring reports for System Health Checks
• Proactively handling the Incidents and provide a proper response within specified time limit
• Having basics knowledge on how to manage incidents coming within the shifts

Education And Experience Required

• First Level University degree: a) technical, b) non-technical (i.e., Bachelor of Arts/ Science). Typically 3-4 year completion beyond High School level, BA/BS or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years experience in relevant technologies and customer environments.

Knowledge And Skills

• Excellent understanding of Linux and SAP HANA Infra technologies and applications
• Must have strong technical foundation and strong problem-solving skills during Critical Events .
• Ability to work with virtual teams and across diverse cultures to deliver results - Conversant in English, spoken and written, with proven communication, interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills
• Proven track record of delivering against stretched targets
• Substantial experience consulting, problem management and detailed analysis
• Extensive Linux technical subject matter expertise on RHEL

• ITIL Certified
