Job summary

LeadSoc Technologies Pvt Ltd seeks an Embedded Linux Engineer focused on boot time optimization. You will analyze and optimize Dom0/host OS boot in virtualized environments, deepen boot-flow expertise, and drive Yocto-based image and systemd tuning.

We value 6+ years in embedded Linux, strong skills in boot-time analysis, virtualization, and kernel-level performance work, with optional automotive IVI experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of embedded Linux system software or kernel development.
• Expert in Linux boot-time analysis and optimization for Dom0/Host OS in virtualization.
• Deep knowledge of Linux boot flow: bootloader, kernel init, initramfs, systemd.
• Yocto Project expertise: image creation, recipes, and systemd optimization.
• Experience with virtualization: Xen (Dom0 preferred) or KVM.
• Kernel-level debugging and performance tuning.
• Experience with power and performance optimization (cold boot, warm boot, S0ix/S2RAM).
• Automotive Embedded Linux / IVI experience (nice to have).

Embedded Linux Engineer – Boot Time Optimization

Experience

• 6+ years in Embedded Linux system software / kernel development

Required Skills

• Linux boot-time analysis and optimization, especially for Dom0 / Host OS in Virtualized environment
• Strong understanding of Linux boot flow: bootloader, kernel init, initramfs, systemd
• Yocto Project expertise – image, recipe, and systemd optimization
• Virtualization experience: Xen (Dom0 preferred) or KVM / QNX Hypervisor
• Kernel-level debugging and performance tuning
• Experience with power & performance optimization (cold boot, warm boot, S0ix/S2RAM)

Technical Knowledge (any relevant subset)

• Initcall ordering, deferred probes
• IPC / DMA / interrupt handling
• Early-boot critical drivers (power, storage, networking, display)
• Profiling & debug tools: ftrace, systemd-analyze, bootchart, perf

Good to Have

• Automotive Embedded Linux / IVI experience
