Persistent is seeking a skilled Linux Developer in India to design, develop and troubleshoot Linux-based solutions. The role collaborates with cross‑functional teams in a dynamic environment and focuses on delivering high-quality software components.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in Linux, kernel, RHEL, scripting, and security, with exposure to CI/CD and configuration management tools. Hybrid work model and growth opportunities are offered by Persistent.

Qualifications

• Shell scripting, BASH, GraphQL and Linux/Unix troubleshooting experience.
• RHCE certification and Red Hat Linux knowledge.
• Experience with automated deployments using Ansible, Satellite, Puppet, Foreman or Chef.

About Position:

We are looking for a skilled Linux Developer with strong expertise in Linux Kernel, RHEL, and Linux system administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, and delivering high-quality software solutions while working closely with cross‑functional teams in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Do:

• Primarily responsible for the development and delivery of parts of software component(s) in projects based on software design.
• You will be involved in coding features and/or bug-fixing and delivering solutions in accordance with coding guidelines and on‑time with high quality.
• You will be responsible for Identification and implementation of unit and integration tests to ensure solution addresses customer requirements, and quality, security requirements of product are met.
• You will be responsible for Ensuring integration and submission of solution into software configuration management system, within committed delivery timelines.
• You will support in project and product risk analysis and software effort estimation.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• B.E. / B. Tech / MCA / M. Tech (Computer Science/Electronics & Communication/Electrical).
• An engineering graduate with 5-12 years of experience in Shell scripting, BASH, GraphQL and Linux/Unix troubleshooting
• Must have valid Red Hat Linux Certifications like RHCE & Tenable OT
• Must have knowledge about Red Hat Linux OS, Linux Security and networking concepts
• Exposure to automated deployments using Ansible, Satellite, Puppet, Foreman or Chef
• Exposure to CI/CD, DevOpS tools, GIT, Code Analysis, GIT runner is preferred
• Exceptional understanding and application of design principles and design patterns.
• Strong analytical skills, coupled with an appreciation for clean and well‑documented code.
• Proven track record of customer interaction and client‑facing experience, supported by effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Success in collaborating with cross‑functional teams located both onsite and offshore.
• Awareness of project management and collaboration tools like JIRA and Wiki.
• Enthusiastic about acquiring knowledge in new technologies, tools, and the Energy domain.
• Exceptional communication skills tailored to diverse audiences, effectively conveying complex issues.
• Capable of approaching and persuading others, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
