Job summary

Silicon Signals in India is seeking an embedded software engineer to develop and maintain Linux-based firmware for hardware platforms. You will work with C/C++, Linux, and embedded systems, understanding hardware-software interaction and device drivers.

Responsibilities include interfacing with peripherals via SPI/UART/I2C/GPIO, using Makefiles and GCC, and cross-compilation workflows. You will debug, test, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with QA and senior engineers to deliver

Qualifications

• Strong C programming skills with pointers, structures and memory management.
• Solid understanding of OS concepts like processes, threads, IPC, scheduling, interrupts.
• Fundamentals of embedded systems and hardware interaction.
• Basic knowledge of peripheral communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO).
• Familiar with Makefiles, GCC and cross-compilation environments.
• GIT basics and version control usage.
