Job summary

Tekskills Inc. is seeking a Linux systems engineer to design, implement, and optimize hybrid Linux environments across on-prem and cloud platforms. You will automate tasks with Python and Ansible, manage critical services, and ensure secure configurations in line with CISSP principles.

The role requires 4+ years of Linux systems experience, plus familiarity with RHEL-based distributions, scripting shells, and HPC scheduling tools. Strong collaboration with storage and cloud teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Linux systems engineering experience of 4 years.
• EDA project experience with Linux (Rhel, Rocky, Centos), Bourne/C-Shell and derivatives, plus networking basics (Apache, DNS, LDAP, NIS, SSH, X).
• Experience with NFS, HPC schedulers (LSF), remote access tools, and RHCSA EX200.

Responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot Linux services including DNS, NIS, LDAP and IBM LSF.
• Perform kernel-level debugging, patching, and performance tuning.
• Automate system tasks using Ansible, Python and shell scripting.
• Maintain secure environments aligned with CISSP best practices.
• Collaborate with cloud and storage teams for hybrid deployments.
• Document procedures and maintain version control of installed software.
