Job summary

Arctic Engines is seeking experienced linguists with a strong background in language technologies to lead linguistic rubrics, annotation taxonomies, and quality guidelines for multilingual AI data projects.

The role involves collaborating with clients and internal teams to design, review, and refine annotation frameworks and ensure high-quality deliverables across ASR, TTS, transcription, and NLP workflows.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Computational Linguistics or related field.
• Native or near-native proficiency in the target language with excellent English communication skills.
• 3+ years of experience in AI language data, linguistic annotation, localization, or speech technology projects.
• Proven experience in creating annotation guidelines, rubric/tag development, taxonomy design, and linguistic quality frameworks.
• Experience working directly with clients to develop and review linguistic guidelines.
• Strong understanding of ASR, TTS, transcription, speech annotation, and NLP workflows.
