Job description

The Senior Associate/Team Lead for a crypto custody service is responsible for managing and processing the financial operations for the Clients. This includes transaction processing, bookkeeping & reconciliation, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cryptocurrency transaction processing cycle, reconciliation between custody & client account, with experience in the financial services industry and knowledge of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. They will be able to manage and oversee financial operations, develop and implement financial policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. You will be responsible for daily accounting of clients based on the transactions.
2. You will be responsible for end of the day reconciliation of the client portfolio.
3. You will be responsible for sending daily updated transaction summary/reports to the client.
4. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
5. Manage and oversee the financial operations of the client, including financial planning and analysis, budget management, and financial reporting.
6. Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions, such as banks and payment processors.
7. Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures by examining all financial records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
8. Assist and support the internal and external audits.
9. Critical review of findings or significant areas in the financial reports – raise questions involving accounting principles, auditing standards, accounting standards and firm policies.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
2. Between 3 to 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably within the financial services industry.
3. Experience with cash reconciliation, trade processing, financial planning and analysis, budget management, and financial reporting.
4. Flexible working hours, ready to work on rotational weekoffs. Work from the office only.
5. Understanding of digital assets along with blockchain technology.
6. Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate financial risks.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and other departments.
9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
10. Strong organizational and time management skills, with excellent attention to detail.
11. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial management software.
