Job summary

UST is seeking a Liferay Consultant to join our web development team in Bengaluru. The candidate will bring 5+ years of web dev experience with 3+ years in Liferay DXP/CE, focusing on site and page management, workflows, and deployment.

Strong Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, and REST/SOAP skills are required. Experience with Liferay Service Builder, Portlet APIs, and LDAP/SSO integration, plus CI/CD and Git, will help drive projects in Agile environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in web development with 3+ years in Liferay DXP/CE.
• Deep Liferay capabilities: site/page management, assets, workflows, staging.
• Strong Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, and REST/SOAP experience.
• Liferay frameworks: Service Builder, Portlet APIs, tag libraries.
• Knowledge of Liferay permissions, roles, user management.
• Deploying Liferay on Tomcat/Apache or other containers.
• CI/CD pipelines and Git version control experience.
• Databases: MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL; familiar with Liferay schema.
• Agile practices; Jira/Confluence familiarity.
• Nice to have: Liferay Certification(s); Liferay Cloud/PaaS; GraphQL; SSO/LDAP/SAML; WCAG/SEO

Experience :4 to 6 Years

• 5+ years of experience in web development with 3+ years specifically in Liferay (DXP/CE).
• Deep understanding of Liferay platform capabilities, including Site and Page Management, Assets, Workflows, and Staging.
• Experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and Web Services (REST/SOAP).
• Proficiency with Liferay frameworks: Service Builder, Portlet APIs, and Liferay-specific tag libraries.
• Strong understanding of Liferay Permissions, Roles, and User Management.
• Experience in deploying and managing Liferay instances (Tomcat, Apache, or other containers).
• Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
• Knowledge of databases (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and Liferay's database schema.
• Familiarity with Agile development processes and tools (JIRA, Confluence).
• Nice to Have:
• Liferay Certification(s)
• Experience with Liferay Cloud or Liferay PaaS environments
• Exposure to headless CMS or GraphQL-based implementations
• Knowledge of SSO, LDAP integration, or SAML for authentication
