  • Generate analytical reports to provide visibility on spend and related items.
  • Support Legal Operations projects and drive timely results.
  • Collaborate with teams to streamline processes and drive coordinated strategy.
  • Support Department workflows through process design and related technology.

Job Family Definition:

Defines, manages, and evaluates business plans to ensure they are operationally executable against defined strategic objectives. Leads and partners with cross-functional teams to develop short-term (typically less than two years) business plans and supporting data-driven models. Prepares comprehensive implementation tactics, including execution plans, resource allocation plans, follow-up guidelines, assessment, and process accountabilities. Ensures that business activities are aligned with stated plans among different stakeholders. Sets business metrics, evaluates actual performance, and makes recommendations to business leaders on performance target achievement. Develops data-driven analyses to optimize resources and ensure that business plans can be translated into financial value.

Management Level Definition:

Applies intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues. Works on problems of moderately complex scope. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Follows established guidelines and interprets policies. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.

What you’ll do:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial management and analysis to the Legal Department, including developing and managing budgets, the creation and tracking of financial metrics, processes and tools used to plan, forecast, and administer the Legal Department’s budget and financial needs.
  • Monthly review of legal invoices and preparation of spending and related reports and/or audits with a focus of reducing costs and increasing efficiencies
  • Identify, research, and resolve billing issues with outside counsel and other legal service providers
  • Generate analytical reports to provide visibility on spend and related items
  • Support Legal Operations projects, driving timely and efficient results
  • Liaise with teams to understand their challenges and drive coordinated strategy to streamline processes
  • Support Legal Department workflows through understanding and designing processes and mastering related technology
What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:
Typically 2-4 years experience in strategy, planning, operations, finance, or related functional area. First level university degree.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (including formulas, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and macros), Word and PowerPoint
  • Superior ability to accomplish diverse assignments
  • Highly responsive and competent in time management and organization
  • A natural team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Detailed oriented, with the ability to follow-through on task objectives
  • Ability to excel in a fast-moving, multi-task environment
  • Proficiency in both verbal and written communication
  • Eagerness to contribute to department efficiency and effectiveness
  • SAP S4 experience preferred
