Legal & Regulatory Expert
Common Functions:
- Assist the Network Planning Group (NPG) on matters related to PM Gati Shakti and National Logistics Policy (NLP).
- Provide expertise for the integration of interconnected multimodal network transport and infrastructure for efficient movement of people, goods, and services.
- Improve decision-making through effective logistics data analytics, standardization, and streamlining of processes.
- Assess project proposals included in the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan in consultation with domain-specific SMEs, Officers of TSU, Logistics Division, and Line Ministries/Departments.
- Evaluate projects based on PM Gati Shakti principles like logistics efficiency, utility to economic clusters, integrated planning approach, multimodality, and area development.
- Have knowledge of government policies, regulations, and best practices relevant to PM Gati Shakti/National Logistics Policy, focusing on sustainable and inclusive development.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and communication materials to convey findings, recommendations, and implementation strategies, and contribute to capacity building.
- Utilize project management tools, digital technologies such as GIS, transportation modeling software during project evaluation.
- Understand economic nodes such as SEZs, CFS, ICDs, industrial nodes, Export Oriented Districts for critical infrastructure project evaluation.
- Collaborate with government agencies, private sector partners, and international organizations to develop innovative solutions for planning gaps.
- Perform any other work related to PM Gati Shakti, NPG, NLP, and the logistics sector.
Minimum Requirement
Graduate degree in Law or equivalent.
Desirable
Post-Graduate degree in Law or equivalent.
Job Description
- Review project documentation from legal and regulatory perspectives.
- Synthesize legal and regulatory issues in integrated planning and implementation within the PM Gati Shakti framework and NLP.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for the NPG.
- Analyze proposals from various departments and provide legal/regulatory inputs.
- Assist in preparing RFPs, tenders, and regulatory frameworks.
- Analyze logistic sector reports from a legal/regulatory perspective and provide inputs.
