Overview

About Our Client: Global Retail company

Candidate profile: 5 to 10 years of experience; candidate from Delhi and Gurgaon should apply.

Responsibilities

• Advise national sales, purchasing, and retail teams on contract and commercial law in alignment with the global Legal Department; serve as the go-to authority for all legal or compliance matters within the India market in alignment with global policies.
• Identify, evaluate, and address legal and compliance risks.
• Shape the legal, compliance and regulatory landscape for India in alignment with global Legal Department, global policies, and business imperatives.
• Answer local legal questions from your area, including IT and data protection, and provide them in a way that is understandable to the teams.
• Routinely review, draft, and edit (inter)national contracts, terms and conditions, and appropriate contract templates in alignment with the global Legal Department; coordinate and support product and market compliance inquiries in the market.
• Coordinate external law firms and support legal proceedings.
• Demonstrate strong credentials working for a global company in both Legal and Market Compliance departments.

The Successful Applicant

• A degree in Law or a relevant qualification in legal studies.
• Experience in Retail or ecommerce industry.
• Proven experience in legal advisory and compliance management.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in international markets as well as India is preferred.
