Job summary

Alpha Plus Technologies is seeking a legal professional to review and process agreements, identify statutory updates, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires researching central and state statutes, drafting advisories, and supporting clients with regulatory frameworks in a banking context.

Candidates should have LLB/LLM and 1-3 years of relevant experience, with strong English writing and research skills and proficiency in MS Office. Prior advisory experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• LLB/LLM degree required.
• 1-3 years’ experience preferred in legal advisory/research.
• Strong writing and research capabilities.
• Comfort with basic computer tools and MS Office.
• Interest in legal and statutory research across domains.

Responsibilities

• Review and process legal agreements, SLAs, and NDAs; advise the company.
• Identify gazette notifications and amend base statutes accordingly.
• Frame statutory obligations from Central/State laws and keep up to date.
• Assist independently with statutory compliance advisories for clients.
• Research banking judgments and present findings in a structured format.
• Handle other tasks as directed by reporting head.

Job Description

• Review and process of Legal Agreements, Service Level Agreements, NDAs, and advise / represent the company on legal matters
  
• Identification of applicable gazette notification containing new statutes, rules, regulations, amendments to existing statutes, rules, regulations, and carrying out the related amendments into the respective base statutes, rules, regulations, etc.
  
• Identifying and appropriately framing legal/statutory obligations based on Central/State Laws/Rules/Regulations as applicable to companies in general, banking industry in particular, and any other vertical as and when required, and maintaining them up-to-date
  
• Assisting / Independently handling statutory compliance obligations mapping advisories for company’s clients
  
• Researching/Sourcing banking specific Court judgments delivered by Supreme Court, High Courts, Debt Recovery Tribunals, Debt Recovery Appellate Authorities, Consumer Courts, Banking Ombudsmen Rulings, and other Statutory / Regulatory Authorities and presenting these in structured manner
  
• Any other roles and responsibilities as may be suggested by Reporting Head
  

Requirements

Qualification / Skill-sets

• LLB / LLM
  
• Prior experience 1-3 years preferred
  
• Excellent writing and researching skills
  
• Basic computer skills is a must
  
• Interest in acquiring knowledge and research & information analysis of the Legal and Statutory domain
  

Added Advantage Qualification / Skill-sets

• 1 - 2 years of experience in advisory / research / information analysis profile pertaining to Legal domain
  
• Prior experience in dealing with Regulatory / Statutory framework
  
• Very powerful command on English, especially gisting, paraphrasing and summarization
  
• Knowledge of current developments in BFSI sector
  
• Prior experience of 1 – 2 years in drafting, vetting and executing Legal Agreements
