Overview

We are seeking a proactive Legal Executive (2–3 years experience) to support our fast-paced SaaS/tech environment. The role involves end-to-end contract management, compliance oversight, and cross-functional legal support. You will be responsible for drafting and reviewing agreements, maintaining governance processes, conducting legal research, and ensuring compliance with IT and data privacy regulations. This role requires strong drafting and research skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams including Product, Engineering, HR, Sales, and Finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Contract Support
  • Draft, review, and manage standard agreements (NDAs, vendor agreements, SaaS contracts, consultancy agreements).
  • Maintain the central repository of contracts and track renewals/expiry dates.
  • Ensure execution and filing of contracts in line with company policies.
• Compliance & Governance
  • Support compliance with IT laws, data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, DPDP Act), and internal policies.
  • Assist with corporate secretarial activities including board resolutions, filings, and documentation.
  • Maintain legal checklists and ensure timely updates.
• Legal Research & Documentation
  • Conduct legal research on SaaS, data protection, intellectual property, and technology regulations.
  • Draft internal policies, SOPs, and compliance reports.
  • Assist senior legal team members in preparing legal summaries and opinions.
• Cross-Functional Support
  • Liaise with HR, Sales, Finance, and Product teams to address routine legal queries.
  • Support in responding to RFPs, due diligence requests, and client compliance questionnaires.
  • Work closely with the Product team to refine terms of service based on new feature rollouts.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to keep the third-party components license page updated.
  • Strong understanding of open-source licenses such as Apache, MIT, and copyright/copyleft frameworks.

Must-Have Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB).
