Job summary

TELUS Digital AI Community seeks a Legal Content Expert to review AI-generated legal text for clarity, accuracy, and compliance. You will act as a filter, ensuring correct names, dates, and laws are applied in various documents.

As an independent contractor, you will work remotely within a global community, contribute to categorization, and ensure simple, rules-based edits are followed. Native-level language ability and a law degree are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a law degree and demonstrate ability to edit legal text for clarity and accuracy.
• Ability to rewrite complex sentences into simple, easy-to-understand language.
• Experience checking names, dates, and applicable laws for accuracy.
• Ability to categorize documents into types like contracts, NDA, etc.

AI is great at writing, but it often makes legal documents too confusing or misses simple rules. As a Legal Content Expert, your job is to read AI-generated legal text—like simple contracts, privacy policies, or terms of service—and make sure they are clear, accurate, and make sense. You are the "Common Sense" filter for legal AI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Simple Fact-Checking: Make sure the AI is using the correct names, dates, and basic laws for your country.
• Clarity Check: If the AI writes a sentence that is too long or confusing, you rewrite it to be simple and easy to understand.
• Document Categorizing: Help the AI sort documents into the right piles (e.g., "This is a Rental Agreement," "This is a Non-Disclosure Agreement").
• Rule Following: Check if the AI followed a basic "Playbook" (e.g., "Always ensure the late fee is no more than 5%").

Qualification path

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Law
• Native Language: Native-level proficiency in your primary language. You need to know how legal documents look in your own country.
• English Proficiency: B1 (Intermediate) English to understand the project instructions.
• Organization: You are careful and don't skip over the "fine print."

Assessment:
