This is a newly created role within the HR function at Vigocare, established to build Training & Development as a formal, standardized capability as the company scales. The Learning & Development Specialist will own the full employee training lifecycle — from induction and role-based onboarding through to ongoing skill development — ensuring every employee is set up to succeed in their role and every role is aligned to organizational goals.
The role is central to standardizing how Vigocare onboards, assesses, and develops talent — building structured 30-60-90 day plans, a central training repository, and a measurement framework for training effectiveness and probation outcomes. It also carries secondary responsibility for supporting external/client-facing training and joint field support alongside commercial teams as needed.
Key Responsibilities
1. Training Delivery & Facilitation
- Facilitate interactive training sessions, workshops, and seminars, both in-person and virtually, across induction, role-based, and skill-development programs.
- Utilize varied teaching methods — including role-playing, case studies, group discussions, and simulations — to enhance participant engagement and retention.
- Work closely with HR, department leaders, and subject matter experts to align training initiatives with organizational goals.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance training impact and foster a culture of continuous learning.
2. Induction, Onboarding & Role Assimilation
- Design and conduct induction and role-based training for all new joiners across functions.
- Build and own a structured 30-60-90 day onboarding plan for every new hire, with clear milestones to track progress toward full role readiness.
- Partner with function heads/managers to ensure smooth assimilation of new employees into their roles.
- Design and standardize the probation review mechanism, tracking milestone achievement (and flagging gaps or inconsistency) through the probation period.
- Work toward standardizing and, where possible, automating performance measurement metrics and assessments used to evaluate onboarding and probation success.
3. Training Needs Analysis & Effectiveness
- Conduct periodic Training Needs Analysis (TNA) across departments to identify skill gaps aligned with organizational goals.
- Design and administer pre/post assessments to measure training effectiveness.
- Continuously review and refine training programs based on effectiveness data and stakeholder feedback.
4. Training Calendar, Content & Central Repository
- Build and maintain an annual training calendar covering both existing employees and new joiners, aligned to evolving organizational skill demands.
- Create and maintain a central repository of role-based training content, ensuring every role has access to relevant, up-to-date material.
- Identify and administer mandatory/compliance training and role-readiness training for every role in the organization.
- Ensure all roles are mapped to defined training pathways aligned with organizational goals.
5. External Training & Joint Field Support (Additional Responsibility)
- Support external training needs as required — including training for hospital technicians and other external stakeholders.
- Provide joint field support and on-the-job training alongside sales/commercial teams when needed.
6. Governance, Reporting & Self-Development
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all training activity, and build dashboards/reports on training coverage, effectiveness, and probation outcomes for HRBP and leadership review.
- Track and report key training metrics (completion rates, milestone achievement, effectiveness scores) on a periodic basis.
- Maintain personal competency through certifications and continued learning in Training & Development best practices.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in HR, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field (MBA – HR preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in Training & Development / Learning & Development / Organizational Development, with demonstrated ownership of induction, TNA, and training calendar design.
- Proven experience designing structured onboarding programs (e.g., 30-60-90 day plans) and probation review mechanisms.
- Experience building and maintaining a central training content repository or LMS.
- Working knowledge of training effectiveness measurement frameworks (e.g., Kirkpatrick model or equivalent).
