Job summary

Consilio is seeking a Lead UX Designer to own design across product areas and shape how AI appears in workflows. You will define interaction models, maintain a multi-product design system, and collaborate with Product and Engineering to drive end-to-end journeys in a hybrid ITPL setting.

The role requires 8+ years in enterprise UX, strong visual craft, and the ability to influence without formal authority while advocating for accessibility and scalable patterns.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing complex enterprise or B2B software with shipped work.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining a design system in a multi-product environment.
• Experience designing end-to-end journeys for multi-product ecosystems.
• Demonstrated experience partnering with Product and Engineering from problem definition forward.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent.

Job Summary

Consilio builds eDiscovery and legal technology solutions used by legal teams at major organizations. Our users make consequential decisions inside our products often under deadline, always under scrutiny. The work is high-stakes by nature: decisions made inside our products carry legal weight.

We're looking for a Lead UX Designer to own design for critical areas of our product suite and to serve as a steward of our design system. Two things make this role unusual. First, you'll be working out how AI shows up inside these workflows. Second, you'll be setting the standards that hold the experience together across a multi-product portfolio, and governing how those standards get used.

This is an individual contributor role. You will set direction, and you'll have real influence over what gets built.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end design for one or more product areas, from problem framing through delivery and post-launch iteration
• Partner closely with Product and Engineering to shape solutions early, not just execute on requirements
• Translate in-flight product strategy into journeys, information architecture, and interaction patterns
• Define the interaction models for AI-assisted workflows: how users understand what the system did, why it did it, and how far to trust it
• Evolve and maintain Consilio's design system defining components and patterns, and setting the standards for how they're used
• Build accessibility standards into the system rather than retrofitting it
• Prototype rapidly to explore, align, and de-risk decisions using modern AI tools
• Lead or partner on user research, and turn findings into decisions other people can act on
• Make the case for design decisions and system standards to senior stakeholders through evidence and clear storytelling

Experience & Requirements

• 8+ years designing complex enterprise or B2B software, with shipped work you can walk us through
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining a design system in a multi-product environment not just consuming one
• Experience designing end-to-end journeys for multi product ecosystems
• Experience with Figma Make, or other similar prompt-based prototyping tools.
• Depth in interaction design, with visual craft strong enough to make the work persuasive
• Demonstrated experience partnering with Product and Engineering from problem definition forward
• Bachelor’s degree in Design (e.g., Interaction, Visual, Industrial Design), HCI, or equivalent practical experience.

Qualities we’re looking for

• Systems thinking. You design for scale and consistency by default, not as a cleanup pass.
• Standards judgment. You know when to generalize a pattern and when a one-off is the right answer — and you can say no to a component request without damaging the relationship.
• Comfort with ambiguity. You can make a defensible tradeoff without perfect information, and revisit it when better information arrives.
• Influence without authority. You change what gets built by being persuasive and well-reasoned, not by escalating.
• Clarity under complexity. You can take a genuinely complicated workflow and make it feel obvious.

Portfolio

• Strong portfolio demonstrating complex workflow design across multiple web-based enterprise products.
• Work samples that showcase prototyping ability.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI driven products or designing AI powered interactions
• Formal or self-directed learning in AI/ML concepts
• Prior experience designing for legal, compliance, healthcare, financial services, or another high-consequence regulated domain.
