Job summary

Texas Instruments in Bengaluru, India, seeks Test Engineers to drive high-current mid-voltage regulator test solutions for TI power products. You will work with design, validation, systems and applications teams to ensure customer and market requirements are met while optimizing test time and cost.

You will generate test plans, develop ATE interfaces, debug silicon, and collaborate with production to release volumes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in test engineering.
• Experience with ATE on Teradyne Eagle or equivalent analog ATE.
• Characterization and hardware development experience for production tests.
• Strong knowledge of electronic devices and analog test techniques.
• Data analysis using Spotfire, dataPower or equivalent STDF-based tools.
• Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, sourcemeters, loads).
• Familiarity with yield improvement and test-time reduction in product engineering.

Responsibilities

At TI, Test Engineers leverage strong technical knowledge working hands-on to bring differentiated power solutions to our customers globally. Test Engineers also partner closely with Design, Validation, Systems and Application engineers to ensure our power solutions are both meeting customer and market requirements, and are technically and cost-wise optimized.

About the role and team:

• Work with design team to understand design specifications
• Generate test plan, create test and char program, design ATE hardware interface boards
• Debug & characterise silicon on ATE, correlate results with bench data
• Analyze silicon results, supporting failure analysis tasks
• Perform statistical analysis of yield fallout, debug and fix yield issues; optimize test time
• Work with production team to release products to volume production
• Test strategy definition and implementation for new DCDC converter products
• ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) test hardware and software knowledge base
• Comprehensive device debugging, design validation and failure analysis
• Drive for robust and cost-effective test solutions while being accountable for product quality
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study
• 2-5 years of relevant experience
• ATE experience on Teradyne Eagle or equivalent analog ATE (iFlex, LTX, VLCT), although Eagle experience is preferred and is a differentiator
• Characterization test program and hardware development experience, Production test program and hardware development experience
• Strong technical knowledge of electronic devices and circuits, and Analog test techniques
• Data analysis skills using Spotfire, dataPower or equivalent tool based on STDF
• Experience with various lab equipment such as scopes, power supplies, sourcemeters, loads etc.
• Experience with product engineering activities such as yield improvement and test time reduction
• Strong understanding of the IC product development process, from concept to volume production

Preferred qualifications:

• Mixed signal test techniques and experience with developing mixed-signal tests on ATE, especially Power Products
• Experience with test program and hardware offload to offshore manufacturing sites
• Proficiency in programming/scripting in C++, Python, C#
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in team and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
• Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
