Job description

Graviton is a privately funded quantitative trading firm on a mission to redefine excellence in financial markets research. We operate across a wide range of asset classes and global trading venues, powered by advanced quantitative models and deep data-driven insights. From time series analysis and stochastic modeling to pattern recognition and statistical inference - our teams turn terabytes of data into innovative trading ideas that move markets.

At Graviton Research Capital, we believe our people are our true edge. We’re a collective of engineers, quants, and innovators who thrive on solving complex problems and pushing the boundaries of technology and trading strategy.

As the Lead - Talent Management & Development, you’ll build a brand-new function at Graviton from the ground up, bringing together talent management, organisation development and learning & development for a team of engineers, quants, and innovators. You’ll report to the Chief People Officer and work closely with business leaders and HRBPs to make talent development a core part of how Graviton operates as we continue our journey of global expansion.

Key Pointers On The Role :

  • Partner with HRBPs and Business to design and execute Graviton’s talent management, organisation development and learning agenda.
  • Identify distinct talent cohorts - critical top performers, high-potentials and the broader base. Build differentiated paths: stretch and recognition to keep our best growing, and a credible route for others to earn their way in.
  • Build succession plans and high-potential frameworks for critical roles across research, technology and support functions, keeping bench strength strong as we scale.
  • Design career paths and growth frameworks - including technical tracks that reflect how our quants, researchers, and engineers actually want to grow.
  • Build Graviton’s learning charter end-to-end, from onboarding to leadership development, partnering with senior leadership as internal faculty.
  • Shape competency frameworks, job architecture, and organisation design as new teams and functions come up.
  • Partner closely with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, and Employee Engagement so talent practices land in day-to-day reality, not just on paper.
  • Hire and build a small, sharp team to scale this function over time, starting with a mid-level Talent Management & Development specialist.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 10+ years of HR experience, with a strong track record leading talent management, organisation development, or learning & development.
  • Experience building a function or major people programs from scratch, not just running existing ones.
  • Ideally, exposure to designing talent programs for technical, quant, or other high-performance environments.
  • A postgraduate degree in HR from a top-tier B-school.
  • Data-driven mindset with sharp business acumen.
  • Ability to partner effectively and earn credibility with senior technical leaders.
  • Comfort operating in a flat, fast-paced, low-bureaucracy environment.

We’re looking for someone who’s genuinely energised by building something from scratch - someone who thrives at the intersection of talent, technology, and organisational excellence, and who wants to design programs that actually work for brilliant, sceptical, technical minds. At Graviton, you’ll lead the function that shapes how we grow, retain, and develop the people behind our trading and research edge, as part of a team that’s redefining what great HR looks like in a world-class quant environment.
