Job summary

Linde Engineering India, Vadodara, is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer for Hydrogen and Petrochemical projects. The role includes design engineering, commissioning and start-up activities for SMR-based plants, including hydrogen, syn gas, ammonia and ethylene cracker units.

You will participate in Basic Engineering, review technical documents, lead design reviews, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with vendors and clients.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in design engineering of Hydrogen/Ethylene projects.
• Willingness to work in a team environment.
• Willingness to work at sites for medium to long term.

Responsibilities

• Manage mid-size project / proposal independently or Area Lead of a large size project.
• Create concepts, execution plans to provide robust technical and cost‑effective solutions specific to the project / customer with contract analysis and examine the relevant scope and interfaces.
• Participate in Basic Engineering for BEDP development.
• Preparation/review of several Process/Systems documents during detailed engineering like PFDs, P&IDs, Equipment and Instrument Datasheets, Control Narrative, C&E, Alarms-Trip List, Tie In summary, Utility Summary, Pre-comm/comm Procedures, Operating Manuals, Laboratory Manuals etc.
• Participate in several design reviews such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, 3D Model reviews, DCS/ESD FAT/SAT.
• Deliver quality deliverable and control budget and schedule.
• Early identification of risks and implement mitigations.
• Co‑ordinate with other EN disciplines and functions, vendors, sub‑contractors, clients, PMC and entities.
• Vendor document reviews.
• Work with matrix organization i.e. reporting to Project/Engineering Managers for project matters and Line Managers for functional matters.
• Participate Pre-comm/Comm and Start‑up activities at the sites.
• Contribute towards organizational quality, training and improvement initiatives and implementation in the projects, proposals.
• Plan, manage resources including task assignment to project team members within the project as well as Monitor, coach and develop team to enhance overall capabilities.

Job Summary

Linde Engineering (LE) is a well-known TEPC player providing Basic, Detailed Engineering and EPC services for Steam Methane Reforming (SMR) based hydrogen, Syn gas, Ammonia & Ethylene Cracker Plants. In order to cater to growing demand for engineering, commissioning and start‑ups for such units we are in the process of strengthening already existing team of design engineers at India, Vadodara location. A suitable candidate with design, commissioning, and operations of these plants is expected to leverage his knowledge to participate in design engineering and site commissioning activities.

Experience Requirement

Overall, 8-15yrs (Min 6-8 yrs experience in Engg activities for Hydrogen /Ethylene Cracker projects). Candidate with strong Engineering background working with licensors/EPC contractors would be considered.
