Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Systems Engineer in India to help refine customer needs and translate them into robust system goals for digital/AI-driven medical devices. You will work with clinical, software and product teams to define roadmaps for next‑generation mobile X-ray systems.

Responsibilities include delivering technical content, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards throughout design, verification and post‑production activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Engineer Degree in STEM majors.
• Advanced experience in Engineering/Technology & Systems Engineering.
• Strong clinical knowledge and system experience for working digital / AI applications.
• Broad exposure to systems design and technical depth for digital software and system.

Responsibilities

• Refine requirements with customers, marketing, clinical and field teams.
• Translate functionality to system goals including quality, reliability, usability, serviceability, manufacturability, and cost.
• Define digital and clinical roadmap for mobile x-ray system.
• Collaborate across functions to define and implement next-generation products with inclusive systems design.
• Deliver technical content and quality management deliverables.
• Define design from high-level architecture to technology selection.
• Author and review system architecture, test design, and customer documentation.
• Conduct trade-off studies and design synthesis.
• Drive implementation and system verification & validation.
• Lead risk management and design defect reviews.
• Handle post-production activities: customer complaints analysis, risk assessment, continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before FDRs and NPI milestones.
• Complete planned Quality & Compliance training within deadlines.

• Working with customers, marketing, clinical and field personnel to refine requirements, defining customer needs and required feature functionality early in the development cycle.
• Translating required functionality to system goals include quality, reliability, usability, serviceability, manufacturability, and cost.
• working with clinical experts, software team, and product team to define digital and clinical application roadmap for mobile x-ray system.
• Working across functions and team boundaries to define, design, and implement the next generation of products with an inclusive system design process, especially engaging sub- system and functional teams.
• Be responsible for delivery of technical content and quality management deliverables.
• Work closely with technical teams to define design from high-level architecture, through technology selection and evaluation.
• Act as primary author and reviewer of system architecture, test design, design descriptions and customer documentation.
• Conducting trade off studies, and then proceeding with design synthesis
• Driving implementation of the best design, and System Verification & Validation strategy
• Leading risk management, design defect management and system design review.
• Handling post-production activities include customer complaints analysis, periodic risk assessment and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before approving Design Control FDRs and NPI program milestones.
• Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Engineer Degree in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
• This role requires advanced experience in the Engineering/Technology & Systems Engineering.
• This role requires strong clinical knowledge and system experience for working digital / AI applications
• Demonstrated broad exposure to systems design and technical depth for digital Software and System

Desired Characteristics

• Imaging healthcare domain experience.
• Hands on experience working with clinical team to product team to define scope and feature requirement for product.
