Job summary

Target in Bengaluru, India, seeks a Lead Specialist Procurement Ops to independently execute operational processes that enable planning activities across Indirect Planning - Procurement teams. You will manage purchase orders, forecast demand, handle inventory for indirect items at a 3PL, and communicate with stores and vendors to resolve issues.

You will work closely with Minneapolis teams, support store queries, and drive KPI improvements in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy

Qualifications

• 2+ years of work experience in a retail organization or similar setting.
• Proficient in MS Office, MS Excel, and MS Access.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate execution of processes and projects for assigned categories by working in close partnership with the Minneapolis Indirect Planning Team.
• Work with vendors and internal partners on aged purchase orders and collaborate with the Indirect Inventory team to bring them to closure.
• Facilitate ordering and maintain and optimize inventory levels of indirect items at the 3PL facility.
• Provide L2 support for store queries related to assigned categories by comprehending issues and delivering solutions.
• Support forecasting and demand planning activities for assigned indirect categories by analyzing historical demand and upcoming needs.
• Independently execute assigned operational processes and participate in cross-functional discussions to resolve issues.

The IPOps team's responsibilities include executing operational strategies and programs, maintaining partner and vendor relationships, and supporting category and procurement activities such as purchase order management, forecasting, indirect inventory management, and data analysis. These efforts are intended to provide a seamless experience for our guests in store.

As a Lead Specialist Procurement Ops, you will independently execute operational processes that facilitate planning activities across various Indirect Planning - Procurement teams. Responsibilities include purchase order management, store and field team queries, forecasting and demand-related activities, indirect inventory support, and vendor-facing communications.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Facilitate execution of processes and projects for assigned categories by working in close partnership with the Minneapolis Indirect Planning Team.
• Work with relevant vendors and internal partners on aged purchase orders and collaborate with the Indirect Inventory team to bring them to closure.
• Facilitate ordering and maintain and optimize inventory levels of indirect items at our 3PL facility.
• Provide L2 support for store queries related to assigned categories by comprehending issues, analyzing relevant information, and providing appropriate solutions.
• Support the execution of New Stores and Remodel cycles through order management for indirect planning categories.
• Support forecasting and demand planning activities for assigned indirect categories by analyzing historical demand, upcoming business needs, inventory positions, and exceptions.
• Independently execute assigned operational processes and actively participate in cross-functional discussions to resolve issues and deliver business outcomes.
• Maintain focus on KPIs and track metrics on a daily cadence. Take action in partnership with Minneapolis counterparts to ensure metrics remain on track against goals.
• Perform root cause analysis using relevant data to identify recurring issues, recommend solutions, and improve operational KPIs.
• Establish realistic plans and work schedules by prioritizing multiple tasks to complete work on time while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
• Ensure timely updates and resolutions for partners and stakeholders. Build trust and credibility by driving results and maintaining regular interactions.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities through the creative use of technology and effective partnership with relevant teams.

Requirements

• Graduate with at least 2 years of work experience in a retail organization or similar setting.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, MS Excel, and MS Access applications.
