Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer - Python to set technical direction and deliver reliable, scalable software using Python and modern practices. You will shape designs, lead delivery, and partner across teams while improving CI/CD with GitHub Actions and strengthening database performance in PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server.

You will mentor engineers, perform code reviews, and champion Agile/Scrum methodologies to ensure timely, high-quality software delivery.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years of software engineering experience with Python.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server for modeling, tuning, and administration.
• Hands-on experience using GitHub Actions to automate CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical knowledge of ReactJS to build interactive, dynamic user interfaces.
• Solid understanding of Scrum/Agile methodologies for collaborative planning and iterative delivery.
• Nice to have exposure to front-end frameworks other than ReactJS.
• Ability to optimize cross-platform application performance.
• Knowledge of advanced DevOps practices and tooling.
