Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced Lead Node.js Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and enterprise-grade solutions.

You will mentor team members, drive architectural decisions, implement best practices, and deliver secure, maintainable applications built with Node.js, NestJS, GraphQL, and cloud-native technologies. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, strong API design skills, and expertise in performance

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience building large-scale applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Expertise in GraphQL for API design and development.
• Background in application architecture and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js and NestJS.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs for frontend services and third-party integrations.
• Build secure authentication and authorization systems using JWT and RBAC.
• Integrate external services and cloud-based solutions with logging, monitoring, and caching.
• Design and maintain database schemas with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Participate in CI/CD pipeline implementation and deployment automation.
• Write comprehensive unit tests and conduct code reviews.
• Apply frontend and backend security best practices to prevent XSS/CSRF/CORS vulnerabilities.
