Job summary

Blue Yonder seeks a senior technical leader to architect and deliver its next-generation cloud-native Supply Chain Data Platform. You will design scalable microservices, mentor engineers, and drive operational excellence across the SDLC.

You will collaborate with global product and engineering teams, implement event-driven architecture, and champion secure, high-availability software in Azure/Kubernetes environments.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of hands-on Java and microservices experience.
• Proven capability to design scalable, multi-tenant cloud-native platforms.
• Strong expertise in REST APIs, GraphQL, and modern DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and delivery of Blue Yonder's cloud-native Supply Chain Data Platform.
• Collaborate with product and global engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable software.
• Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, performance tuning, and CI/CD improvements.

Lead the design, development, and delivery of Blue Yonder's next-generation cloud-native Supply Chain Data Platform. The role involves architecting scalable, secure, and highly available microservices, collaborating with global product and engineering teams, and driving technical excellence across the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on development expertise with architecture, mentoring, and operational excellence.

Our Current Technical Environment

• Software: Java, Spring Boot, Gradle, Git, Hibernate, REST APIs, OAuth, GraphQL, Snowflake, Scala, Spark, Elasticsearch, NoSQL, RDBMS
• Application Architecture: Cloud-native, event-driven, secure multi-tenant microservices architecture with high scalability, resiliency, fault tolerance, and high availability
• Cloud Architecture: Microsoft Azure (AKS, ARM Templates, Azure AD, Application Gateway, Virtual Networks), Kubernetes, Docker, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD
• Frameworks/Others: Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, Spring Boot, Hibernate, GraphQL, Elasticsearch, Spark, Ignite, Git, Gradle, DevOps, Infrastructure Automation

What You’ll Do

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of Blue Yonder's next-generation Supply Chain Data Platform using cloud-native microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Professional Services, and global engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions.
• Drive engineering excellence through clean code, architecture reviews, performance optimization, code reviews, CI/CD improvements, automation, and operational best practices.
• Mentor engineers, contribute to hiring, lead technical discussions, resolve production challenges through root cause analysis, and continuously improve platform reliability, scalability, and developer productivity.
• Participate in the engineering on-call rotation, providing backend support, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvements to platform reliability

What We Are Looking For

• 7 to 10 years of strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, OAuth, Kafka, Snowflake, and cloud-native application development on Microsoft Azure or similar cloud platforms.
• Proven experience designing and building scalable, resilient, multi-tenant SaaS platforms using distributed microservices, event-driven architecture, Kubernetes, Docker, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Big Data and distributed technologies such as Snowflake, Spark, Scala, Elasticsearch, NoSQL/RDBMS, along with performance tuning and high-availability architectures.
• Strong technical leadership with experience in software architecture, secure coding, mentoring engineers, code reviews, stakeholder collaboration, Agile development, and driving continuous improvement across engineering teams.
• Well Versed with CI-CD and Agile , hands on with Github actions
• Experience with implementation of Event driven architecture using Kafka, Spark or similar technologies
