Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with Java and Spring Boot.

• Proficiency in RESTful API design and modular frontend architecture.

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer - Java with Azure to drive the architecture and delivery of Java backend applications and microservices hosted on Azure. You will oversee feature execution, improve reliability and performance, and contribute to Agile delivery and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain applications using Java (Spring Boot and Microservices)
• Drive feature delivery from concept to deployment while meeting scalability and performance goals
• Contribute throughout the SDLC, from analysis and design through testing and release
• Deliver clean, reusable, testable code and run comprehensive code reviews to maintain high standards
• Resolve backend or frontend issues through effective troubleshooting across environments
• Implement and consume RESTful APIs to enable dependable frontend-backend integration
• Tune backend performance, focusing on API latency and database query optimization
• Support CI/CD pipeline improvements and ongoing maintenance
• Coordinate with the team in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives

Requirements

• 8+ years of development work experience in software engineering
• 8+ years of professional experience in full-stack development using Java (Spring Boot) and Azure
• Hands-on development experience with Java and Spring Framework
• Good knowledge of APIs and microservices architecture
• Strong proficiency in Java 17, Spring Boot 3.1.2, Spring Framework 6.0.7, Hibernate, RESTful API design, and modular frontend architecture
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with Azure Pipeline, Jenkins, and GitLab CI
• Good understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture
• Working knowledge of cloud environments, especially Azure (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions (serverless))
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across the stack
• Ability to work collaboratively in Agile/Scrum teams and communicate effectively
• English proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) to support communication and documentation
