Job summary

Ford is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive cloud infrastructure and data engineering initiatives on Google Cloud Platform. You will design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure cloud-native data pipelines and automation frameworks supporting automotive analytics and product development.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cloud-native software engineering with data infra.
• 3+ years on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Compute Engine, Pub/Sub, IAM.
• Expertise in Python for data eng, automation, and cloud apps.
• IaC experience with Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.
• CI/CD awareness with Jenkins, GitLab CI, Cloud Build.
• Design and build scalable data pipelines for batch and streaming data.
• Strong relational and NoSQL DB concepts and data warehousing.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure cloud infra on GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, GKE).
• Implement IaC to automate provisioning and management of GCP resources.
• Establish software engineering best practices: modular code, testing, reviews, version control.

• 3+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on cloud-native development and data infrastructure.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and managing solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services like BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Compute Engine, Pub/Sub, and IAM.
• Expert proficiency in Python for data engineering, automation, and cloud application development.
