Job summary

ALTEN India is seeking an experienced cloud engineering professional to design, implement, and manage scalable GCP infrastructure. You will work across business units to deliver secure, cost-effective solutions and automate provisioning through IaC.

You will build CI/CD pipelines, monitor performance, and collaborate with data scientists and product teams to translate requirements into robust engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience designing scalable cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Strong knowledge of security, governance, and data privacy standards.
• Experience with IaC and automation.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and collaborate with data teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Implement IaC using Terraform or Deployment Manager.
• Establish and enforce software engineering best practices, including modular code design, comprehensive testing, code reviews, version control (Git), and documentation standards.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and release management of cloud infrastructure and data applications.
• Develop and integrate monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for cloud services and data pipelines to ensure high availability, performance, and proactive issue detection.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, data analysts, and product development teams to understand data requirements, provide technical guidance, and translate analytical needs into scalable engineering solutions.
• Lead efforts in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, application performance, and security.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of our cloud architecture and data platform, evaluating new technologies and recommending best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers, foster a culture of technical excellence, and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
• Ensure all cloud solutions adhere to Ford's security, governance, and data privacy standards.
