Cadence Molecular Sciences in Bengaluru is seeking a Back-End Engineer to help build Orion's high-performance compute and storage systems for drug discovery. You will collaborate with designers, scientists and software engineers to extend Orion's capabilities, writing robust Python/Go services and modernizing existing software.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging distributed systems.
• Expert in Python, pytest, packaging, and Django.
• Expert in GoLang, testing, packaging, and client/server architecture.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, SQLite, and relational database design.
• Experience with Life Sciences, HPC, AWS, Docker, and containerized systems.
• Experience with unit & end-to-end testing, CI/CD, source control, and code review.
• Strong CS fundamentals and problem-solving skills.

Job Summary:

As a Back-End Engineer, you’ll work with designers, scientists, and software engineers to enhance & extend Orion's capabilities – architecting and optimizing the high-performance compute and storage systems that drive groundbreaking scientific discoveries. You'll be part of a team building cutting edge features, as well as helping to modernize existing software.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering, biology/chemistry or similar
• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging complex distributed systems as part of a team
• Expert in Python, pytest, packaging, and Django
• Expert in GoLang, testing, packaging, and client/server, and familiarity with writing servers/clients
• Experience with PostgreSQL, SQLite, and relational database optimization and structural design
• Experience in Life Sciences, HPC, AWS, Docker, and containerized systems
• Experience with unit & end-to-end testing, CI/CD, source control, code review, comfortable using command line interfaces
• Strong background of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms)
• Passionate to learn and explore new technologies and demonstrates good analysis and problem-solving skills
