Job summary

SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA in Bengaluru seeks a Big Data Azure/AWS Administrator with Java to manage Spark and Synapse platforms, and to drive migration from on-premise to public cloud such as Snowflake and Databricks.

The role requires 8+ years of engineering experience, hands-on skills in Azure/AWS, Java/Springboot, Ansible and Terraform, and a strong focus on security, performance and incident management.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in big data/infrastructure management.
• Engineering graduate / MCA / Computer Science degree.
• Ability to engage with Cloudera vendor and automate administration.

Responsibilities

• Develop APIs in Java/Spring and enable CI/CD with Azure.
• Automate deployment and integrate solutions with security standards.
• Ensure availability, performance and security of deployed solutions.
• Manage incidents and tickets for Hadoop infrastructure with quality support.
• Handle change management, testing and rollback with stakeholders.
• Maintain technical docs for internal teams and users.
• Assist customers migrating from on-prem to cloud.
• Collaborate with publishers and internal teams.
• Monitor production planning.

Responsibilities

Requisition Title: Big Data Azure / AWS Administrator with Java

Background:

As part of the development and maintenance of our Big Data infrastructure on public cloud, we are looking for an experienced administrator to manage, optimize and ensure the availability of a platform focused on Spark and Synapse, with on-premise environments soon to migrate to public cloud solutions such as Snowflake and Databricks.

Level: Middle to Expert

Technical skills - Must Have

Good Knowledge on Azure / AWSJava/Springboot, PowershellAzure Kubernetes Service (AKS)Azure / AWS DevOpsMonitoring: ElasticSearch/Kibana (user level, no administrator role).

Big Data: Spark, Hive Metastore, HadoopNotion of Snowflake, Databricks (knowledge of Snowflake and Databricks, particularly in terms of storage, Data Catalog, and Data Federation)

Main missions:

• Development of APIs in Java/Spring Facilitating interface with Azure, Application Lifecycle Management (CI/CD)
• Ensure automated deployment and integration of solutions while complying with security requirements of the bank (authorization, authentication, encryption, resilience, Azure policies, etc.)
• Ensure availability, performance, and security of deployed solutions
• Manage incidents and tickets related to the Hadoop infrastructure by providing quality technical support
• Change management (preparation for change, testing, rollback, coordination with stakeholders, process)
• Participate in the development and monitoring of global production planning
• Set up and maintain technical documentation for internal teams and users
• Participate in task forces to solve complex technical problems
• Support customers in their transitions from on-premises to public cloud
• Work closely with publishers and internal teams
• Ensure technical periodic penalty payments according to the defined schedu
