Job summary

Optum Hyderabad is seeking an experienced engineer to drive agile product delivery with an AI-first approach, combining design thinking and solid engineering practices to ship health-care software.

You will mentor teams, estimate effort, and collaborate with stakeholders while ensuring quality through CI/CD, testing, and incident management.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree or equivalent experience with strong programming fundamentals.
• B.Tech/MCA/MSc/MTech (minimum 16 years of formal education) required.
• Experience with Java/J2EE, React, Node, Spring Boot, and databases.
• Experience in production support and incident management.
• Python and AI implementation experience is desirable.
• Hands-on knowledge of AI implementations and DevOps for production operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead agile product delivery from design to production with an AI-first approach.
• Mentor engineering teams to build and deliver health care products.
• Estimate, design, and justify effort for modules and tasks.
• Implement and enforce best engineering practices including testing and CI/CD.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders and manage requirements.

Role & responsibilities

• gile product delivery from design to delivery and production implementation with AI first approach
• Technically hands-on and able to inculcate best programming and engineering practices by doing
• Shall be able to do the people management, work with the team to plan for work & get it delivered from them in sprint over sprint
• Estimate: Create, understand and validate Design and estimated effort for given module/task, and be able to justify it
• Mentor: Coach high performing engineering team to build and deliver health care product to market
• Engineering: Implement and adhere to best engineering practices like design, unit testing, functional testing automation, continues integration and delivery
• Stakeholder management: Excellent communication skills, clarity of thought and ability to take decisions bases on available information

Preferred candidate profile

• Graduate degree or equivalent experience

• Java/J2EE, React, Node, Sprintboot, Oracle/any relational DB. Mongo/any object based DB
• Expertise on production support, incident management
• Python/ability to run faster, AI implementation
• Hands on knowledge on AI implementations
• Expertise on devops including production support operations, ticket management, root cause analysis, etc.
