Job summary

Cohere Health is seeking an experienced software engineer to join our Clinical Intelligence team in Hyderabad, India. You will contribute to the roadmap, build AI-driven and rules-based healthcare automation, and deliver scalable cloud platform solutions.

This role emphasizes ownership of the full SDLC, collaboration with product and design, and rapid release cycles. Ideal candidates have 8+ years of full‑time software development, strong Java/Groovy and React skills, cloud experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, software engineering, or equivalent.
• 8+ years of full-time software development experience.
• Proficiency with Java/Groovy; experience with React and JavaScript; TypeScript is a plus.
• Cloud experience on AWS or Azure; familiarity with testing frameworks.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL datastores; ownership of SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the functional and technical roadmap for the team.
• Develop full-stack web applications and AI-driven healthcare automation.
• Support design, testing, and delivery of cloud platform and web apps.
• Drive regular releases (2–4 per month) and provide production support.

Opportunity Overview

This is a unique opportunity to join our rapidly growing Clinical Intelligence team, where you’ll work on building impactful healthcare technologies that streamline and optimize the prior authorization process using AI/ML and Advanced Rules Engines.

What you’ll do

Contribute to the functional & technical roadmap for the team, working alongside cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact deterministic rules-based and AI-driven healthcare automation solutions. Actively support the technical design process, bringing your expertise and analysis to help make data-driven decisions Continuously discover, understand, and implement new technologies & services to maximize development efficiency Contribute heavily to feature design, development, testing, and delivery of our cloud platform and web applications Support all parts of our platform from the database to the frontend Drive daily engineering release once 2-4 times a month Perform production support duties 1-2 times a year.

ISMS roles and responsibilities

Good knowledge of Information practices. Assist the manager in all the information security activities implementation and maintenance process. Ensuring the team and imparted with Competence related to Information security Responsible for implementation of security policies and procedures and report any issues to the Information Security Manager.

• You have experience working on software development teams, building and deploying full stack web applications
• You are passionate about building quality products and want to own product development end-to-end, with excellent design and development standards
• You can collaborate closely with teammates in product and design to build applications providing healthcare practitioners with the highest quality user experience
• You have experience with common software development practices such as version control, unit testing, and CI/CD
• You are a team player and are interested in working at a fast-paced startup environment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, software engineering, or equivalent experience in the field. Minimum of 8+ Years of full time experience in software development lifecycle, required
• Proficiency with Java/Groovy Experience building applications using React and Javascript. TypeScript is a plus
• Familiarity with cloud development AWS/Azure Hands on experience leveraging test frameworks such as Cypress, Jest, Mocha, JUnit, or Cucumber is a plus, but not required
• Experience using relational (MySql, Postgres) and NoSQL (Dynamo, Elastic, Mongo) datastores along with data access patterns and strategies.
• Ability to demonstrate a high level of ownership for the entire SDLC, including designing, building, testing, deploying and supporting production services in a fast-paced environment.
• Be self-starter requiring minimal direction with ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities and requirements
• Prior experience in healthcare and life sciences is a plus, but is not required
